Standard Application process
- Check your university‘s homepage (study subjects, application deadline, required certificates such as for language skills etc.)
- Clarify which documents are required for applying (such as CV, language certificates etc.)
- Determine whether you have to apply directly to the university or through uni-assist
- Fill in the downloaded applicationform for each university you want to apply to
- Pay the applicationfees (if necessary)
- Send your application form together with all the documents demanded

Language Requirements
- Tests to prove sufficient skills in German :
->TestDaF (Test of German as a Foreign Language) - at a testing centre in your home country or in Germany
- DSH (German Language University Entrance Examination) - only at German universities
- Costs: e.g. TestDaF : 175€
- Courses and tests are available throughout the whole year
- Further required can be a minimum of German lessons taken
Tuition & administration fees
- Mostly no tuition fees
Once:
Administration fees 50€ - 75€
Per semester:
Student union 40€ - 70€
Semester ticket up to 180€ but on average about 100€
All together about 250€
