- The University of Sunderland’s undergraduate tuition fees are in three bands: £7,000, £7,800 and £8,500.
- Self-funded UK and EU students - Your tuition fee is due in full upon enrolment. Alternatively, you may select either a three or seven payment installment plan.
- All international students are required to pay a non-refundable deposit before arriving at the University to take a place on their course.
Living costs in detail:
Accommodation: £272 - £508 per month
- Rents vary depending on whether you choose university or private accommodation, the facilities available and the size of living area. University accommodation tends to include some utility bills with the rent, making them even better value for money.
- The cost of our university accommodation in 2013/14 ranges from approximately £68 (£272 per month) for a single room in Precinct, to £127 (£508 per month) for a self-contained one-bedroom studio flat in The Forge - U-Student Village.
- Sunderland is a compact city, and the two campuses and all university accommodation are within walking distance of each other. If you don't want to walk, the University also provides a free campus bus.
- For trips further afield, a student Metro pass for the Sunderland area is just £42.50 a year. A return train ticket to Newcastle is £4.40, to Durham is £9.50 and to Middlesbrough is £10.80 (and with a Young Person's Railcard you can get an additional 33% discount).
